Gabriel Šípoš

Gabriel studied Economics and Political Science at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest (1996-1999), and Journalism at Academia Istropolitana Nova in Bratislava (2000-2001). Since 2001, he worked at the Institute for Economic and Social Reforms as analyst, focusing mainly on monitoring media ethics and professionalism in the Slovak Press Watch blog. He acts as Director of Transparency International Slovakia since 2009 and is elected to hold the position until 5th December 2021.

After finishing his studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in 2003, Michal worked as Domestic News Editor in the SME daily for 11 years. In January 2015, he joined Transparency International Slovakia and is in charge of projects focused on regional and local self-governance, state-owned firms, transparency rankings, as well as research on corruption in these fields.
Eva Demková (Bilená)

Eva studied Public Economy and Administration (Ing.) at the Masaryk University in Brno. During the studies, she worked in the enviromentally focused organisation DUHA movement- Friends of the Earth in the departure of finance. She joined Transparency International Slovakia in 2018, she focuses on municipalities and she also helps with office management.
Ľuboš Kostelanský

After 15 years of journalistic praxis in the weekly newspaper Trenčianske noviny, the Pravda daily, the Economic Newspaper and  the News Agency of the Slovak Republic, Ľuboš started to act in Transparency International Slovakia in September 2018. He focuses on municipalities, justice and also on investigation.

Lukáš studied Geography at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Since 2004, he worked in the non-governmental organisation People in Need where he concered mainly with eductional projects which were focused on the global education. He also acted in the international non-profit organisation Habitat for Humanity. He works for Transparency International since 2018.
Ján Ivančík

Ján graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava and studied under the Erasmus project at the Helsinki University in Finland. Since 2014 he has worked at TaylorWessing International Law Office. Ján works for Transparency as a lawyer since 2018.
Róbert Pakan

Róbert studied Economy at University of Ecnomics in Bratislava. Since 2008, he worked in the department of audit and later as analyst for IBM and Johnson Controls. He also acts in the area of human rights, of culture of LGBTI minorities and he is active in the fight against radicalism and extremism. He is Director of Drama Queer Festival and he regularly contributes to the magazine QYS which is focusing on human rights. He is responsible for the coordination of project of the Operational Programme Effective Public Administration. He acts as Financial Manager in Transparency International since 2018.
Zuzana Grochalová

Zuzana studied Culturology at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, she spent two semesters at Palacký University in Olomouc and one semester at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She worked in non-profit sector as a coordinator of scholarship programmes and as a specialist for communication. Zuzana joined Transparency International in 2018.

Eduard studied Commerce and Marketing (Ing.) at University of Economics in Bratislava, Sociology (MA) at Central European University (CEU) in Warsaw, Poland and acquired a Doctorate degree in Public Economy (PhD.) at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Eduard worked as a consultant for many organisations, is a head of the Slovak Fundraising Centre and at the same time a President of the European Fundraising Association. Eduard joined Transparency International in 2018.

Vladimír Pirošík

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. As an external consultant for TI Slovakia he focuses on public control of those in power, particularly in regional and local self-governance. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Municipal Parliament in Banská Bystrica.

The role of the Board is to determine the strategy of the organization, assist with fundraising, appoint the director and supervise his/her work. According to the Statute, Board members are elected for a period of seven years.

Martin Šuster
Chairman
He holds a PhD. degree from the University of Maryland in the US. Since 2007, he works as director of research at the National Bank of Slovakia. Between 2007 and 2009, he managed the information campaign for euro adoption in Slovakia. He lectures in Economics (including the influence of corruption on economy) at the University of Economics as well as the Comenius University in Bratislava. He is the vice-chairman of the Slovak Economic Association.
He is elected to the position of Chairman until 5 December 2024.
Samuel Spáč He graduated in Political Science (Bc.) from Comenius University in Bratislava in 2011 and from the Central European University in Budapest (M.A.) in 2013. His research interest lies with issues of democratization and rule of law with a special focus on the judiciary. He works as research assistant at the Judicial Studies Institute at Masaryk University in Brno and at the Department ofPolitical Science at Comenius University in Bratislava.
He is elected to the position until 5 December 2024.
Ladislav Orosz He studied law at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (UPJŠ) in Košice. As an expert on constitutional law, he has published over 80 studies, monographs and scholarly articles. He was a member of the Federal Assembly of the CSFR and later of the National Council (SDL), where he served as chairman of the Constitutional Law Committee. In 2007-19 Ladislav served as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. He has received several awards for his work, including the “Judgment of the Year” and “Lawyer of the Year” awards.
He is elected to the position until 28 June 2026.
Pavol Baboš He studied sociology at K.U. Leuven in Belgium (M.Sc.) and defended his doctorate in political science at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2013. In the past, he focused on perceptions of corruption, currently focusing more on behavioral research on voter behavior and attitudes towards democracy and the EU. He currently works at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava.
He is elected to this position until 20 May 2027.
