The TI-SK website uses so-called “cookies” – small text files downloaded by your browser and stored on your computer. Cookies are used to recognise repeat visits to the TI-SK website and to improve the services provided to you by the TI-SK website. Most of these files are deleted from your computer when you leave the TI-SK website.
However, cookies can also be used to transmit information to automatically recognise you. Recognition takes place via the IP address stored in cookies. This information is only used to improve our service and to speed up your access to the TI-SK website.

The TI-SK website uses three types of cookies: essential, functional and analytical cookies.
Essential cookies: These cookies are necessary for the actual functioning of the TI-SK website, and rejecting them may significantly hinder or completely prevent the browsing of the TI-SK website. This type of cookie does not retain information after you leave the TI-SK website.

Functional cookies: This type of cookie optimises your user experience and stores information such as browser type, language, font size and other display settings, even after you leave the TI-SK website.

Analytical cookies: This type of cookie helps us to analyse the traffic on the TI-SK website as well as the statistics of error messages. The data obtained through these cookies are not associated with individuals but are used purely for statistical purposes and to improve the functioning of the TI-SK website and optimise the user experience.

You can prevent cookies from being downloaded to your computer by adjusting your browser settings. However, this may affect the proper functioning of some of the TI-SK website features. If you encounter any malfunctions, try checking the cookie settings in your web browser.

This anonymous data is stored separately from any other information you may have provided, so that it cannot be linked to any specific person. This data is used for statistical purposes to improve the TI-SK website and our services.

The TI-SK website allows you to subscribe to the TI-SK newsletter. The newsletter provides you with regular information about our work in the fight against corruption. In order to send you the newsletter, we need your consent to process your personal data, namely your e-mail address and your first and last name. You may choose to provide us with your telephone number and address in addition to this information.

You express your consent when you agree to the following wording: “Transparency International Slovakia will use the information from this form to stay in touch with you and provide you with updates on our work in the fight against corruption. Please choose how you want to stay in touch with us:

You can change your choice at any time by clicking on the edit settings link and you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the footer of every email you receive from us. Your IP address, first and last name as well as the date and time of consent will be collected in order to record your consent to receive the newsletter and to process the personal data necessary for this purpose. This data is necessary to comply with the legal obligations imposed on us by the GDPR.

The data is not matched with other data that may have been collected by other components of the TI-SK website.
The consent to process personal data in order to receive the newsletter is recorded using MailChimp and MailMunch.

Sending newsletters based on legitimate interest
In some cases, you may also be sent a newsletter based on a legitimate interest of TI-SK. These are situations where you have not given us explicit consent to receive the newsletter, but you have provided us with your contact details in some other way, for example when making a donation or supporting a petition or campaign. In this case, it is in our and your interest to be informed about how we have used your donation or what results we have achieved. We are a transparent organisation, and it is in our interest that all our donors and supporters are informed about our activities and the results of our work.

Similar to the consent-based newsletter, data about your first name, surname, email and, if relevant, telephone number are processed. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Sending newsletters via MailChimp
We use MailChimp to send the newsletter to subscribers. MailChimp is a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA.
The data stored when you register for the newsletter and consent to the processing of your personal data will be stored on a server operated by The Rocked Science Group, LLC in line with the GDPR rules and the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement.

Further information about the privacy policy provided by MailChimp is available at: http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.
Further information on the EU-US Privacy Shield is available on the European Commission’s website: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/eu-us-privacy-shield_en.

You can change your choice of how you want to be informed about TI-SK activities at any time without any penalty. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter and withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the footer of every email you receive from us. You can also notify us of your decision by email at podporte@transparency.sk.

Newsletter tracking
Our newsletter contains so-called “web bugs” that allow us to track if and when an email was read and which hyperlinks were clicked on by the recipient.
We store this data for the purpose of improving the newsletter to better match the wishes and interests of subscribers. This data is also used to send personalized newsletters to subscribers.

If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we will no longer process this data.

6 Individual donors and the Darujme.sk system
The TI-SK website allows all people who are not indifferent to corruption to support our work with a financial donation. However, when you make a donation, your personal data is processed. Data related to your first and last name, email, the amount of the donation and your bank account and, if relevant, your telephone number are processed. We need this data to comply with our legal obligations as well as our contractual obligations to you. We have to process this data for as long as TI-SK exists or for as long as the legal obligation persists.

We use the application Darujme, operated by the non-profit organisation Centre for Philanthropy/Centrum pre filantropiu, n.o., registered office: Baštová 5, 811 03 Bratislava, ID No.: 318 21 71. The processing of personal data by the Centre for Philanthropy and the use of the Darujme app are governed by their own terms of use. Please refer to: https://darujme.sk/pravidla-a-podmienky.
